Health data, plainly
What counts as health data
Anything about your body or mind that you keep in Keel: medications, diagnoses and conditions, mental health, food allergies and diets, sleep, workouts and injuries, and Mind check-ins and journals.
Where it is kept
Each Keel app keeps its own records: Nutrition your allergies, diet and any medications you add, Sleep your nights, Fitness your workouts and limitations, Mind your check-ins and journals. Evan keeps only what you ask it to remember. A medication, a diagnosis or a mental-health fact is kept only after you confirm it and choose how long, as a sensitive note on your Memory page.
What Evan can read
Only the apps you switch on in Access. Medications, sleep recordings, Mind journals, relationship answers and reflections stay off unless you turn them on. Sensitive notes are never shared with your apps or used to plan.
What is sent to answer you
To write Evan’s replies, Keel sends your message, your recent conversation, what Evan remembers (never sensitive notes) and records from the apps you’ve switched on to Anthropic’s Claude model, through AMG’s model service. They’re used only to answer you. Anything you type, health details included, goes with your message.
Private conversations
A conversation you mark private is not saved to your account or listed. Its messages are held in Keel’s memory for at most a day, only to answer you, and Evan remembers nothing from it.
Seeing and deleting it
On your Memory page you can see, change or forget anything Evan keeps, or clear it all. Deleting a conversation deletes its messages and voice transcripts. Account › Privacy & Evan lets you download all your Keel data. Each app lets you delete its own records, and Keel support can delete your account.
Not medical care
Evan is an automated coach, not a doctor, therapist or clinician. In a crisis, call or text 988 in the US, or contact local emergency services.
